When you dream of crossing the deserts of the world and you meet special people along the way, you gain more than a journey, more than a desert.
I was blessed to find the best part of my dream: running through the desert to collect yet another grain of sand and fulfilling the bold dream of crossing my Sahara on the famous iron train.
I returned not only full and overflowing with my dream, but with my heart enchanted by every moment — and above all, by the people who made that dream possible.
Everything went perfectly; the organization found a way to make it flawless, even the things beyond their control (the effort made to ensure we could cross the iron train was unforgettable!). I travel all over the world, and I can confidently say I have never eaten so well on any of my crossings. It felt as if all the affection put into the cooking radiated through each meal, in unique and perfect flavors.
The entire event was impeccably organized — the schedules, the tents, the race, the delicious food, and the tremendous kindness of everyone involved.
I felt at home while I was with you. You touched my heart. I missed you the moment I left, and I am certain that even though the world is so big and full of places to discover, I will return.
See you soon, and thank you for everything.
Johnny is a smart, charismatic and energetic person, who at the same time is a great leader and an inspiration to everyone who knows him.
The experience of traveling with him was fantastic. Everyone got along well and we did fun and interesting things from beginning to end.
I very much enjoyed the trip. Well organized - given the circumstances - and mostly went smoothly. Fantastic sights, and full delivery of activities - never felt like he was cutting corners. Plentiful food - but you don't go to Libya for the cuisine!
